On January 1, 2001, the California lemon law was modified to include Business Use Vehicles with a gross vehicle weight under 10,000 pounds. The California Lemon Law now covers Business Use Vehicles which meet the following requirements:

The New Motor Vehicle is used primarily for business purposes by a person or organization to which not more than 5 vehicles are registered in California; and

The New Motor Vehicle has a gross vehicle weight under 10,000 pounds.

With this important change to the California lemon law, even if you use your new vehicle for business, you may be entitled to a refund or new vehicle.
